HCL Technology, Sumeru Equity to buy Actian

HCL Technology and Sumeru Equity Partners have agreed to buy Actian Corp for $330 million, PE Hub reported. According to the terms of the transaction, HCL will own 80 percent of the company while Sumeru Equity will own approximately 20 percent of the joint venture that owns the company. California-based Actian Corporation is a provider of data management, integration, and analytics infrastructure platform through commodity hardware, in the cloud, or both. Kirkland & Ellis provided legal advice to Sumeru Equity on the transaction.
