KKR to buy 50 percent of Sweden's flooring R&D firm Välinge

KKR has signed three agreements to buy 50 percent of Välinge, a Swedish R&D firm in the flooring and furniture industries, for an undisclosed amount. KKR, through the agreements, is buying two 20 percent stakes owned by current minority owners, Kronospan and Swiss Krono Group, as well as a 10 percent stake held by the founder. The Pervan family, that owns Välinge, is partnering with KKR to further grow it into a world leading R&D and IP provider in its respective business segments, leveraging KKR’s financial resources, its international network and its longstanding expertise in the global industrial sector.
