Swedish packaging firm Duni AB buys 60% in Thailand's Terinex Siam

Stockholm-listed food and beverage packaging manufacturer Duni AB has entered into an agreement to acquire a 60 per cent stake in Thailand-based disposable products converter and exporter Terinex Siam. Duni has acquired 49 per cent stake directly and 11 per cent through a joint venture company in Thailand, according to the company’s statement. The share purchase will affect Duni’s net debt with approximately $12.86 million, which is covered within existing loan facilities. The acquisition is expected to be completed by mid-August, the company cited. With approximately 100 employees, Terinex Siam offers napkins and other disposable packaging products such as aluminum foil and paper coasters. It specializes in Southeast Asian market particularly Thailand, Singapore and Australia.
